Mercedes Méndez Ribas, Institutional Development Director, travelled to Berlin this week to represent CIPPEC in the T20 Germany Kick-Off Conference ‘Cohesion in Diversity: Accompanying the German G20 Presidency’. It convened leaders of the best think tanks from the G20 member countries to participate in exchanges and formulate policy proposals that would enrich the debate on the agenda items of the next G20 summit to be held in Germany next year.
Méndez Ribas participated in the opening panel together with Lars-Hendrik Röller, Chief Economist to the German Chancellor and Germany’s G20 sherpa; Edwin Truman, from the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) from the USA; and Chen Dongxiao, Director of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), among others.
